Crash

My friends and I were in K-Town playing some computer games--- because we're so cool. And we wrapped up at around 2 in the morning (drunk driver hour 0_0).

I got this feeling on the drive back that I had to be extra careful. My friend Ray told me I was being dumb-- "Dude, it's Sunday night... I doubt anything's gonna happen". About ten minutes after he said this, we were on the 101, about to switch over to the 170 and I saw a few cars, stopped on the right side. I started to slow down... and as we got closer, we noticed that it was a car accident that had JUST happened.

I was driving with my friends Ray and Davis and immediately, Ray pulled out his phone and dialed 911. I turned on my hazard lights, and I pulled over... when suddenly, out of one of the cars, an old man stumbled out, with his head bleeding and he collapsed next to his SUV.

(Davis took a picture on his iphone after all of the madness) At this point, we were all out of the car. I could hear Ray next to me answering questions from the dispatcher. "Four cars... no we were not involved... "

While this was happening, the SUV started rolling backwards, and it was about to run over the old man's leg. I sprinted towards the van, yelling "stopstopstopstopstopstop! (as if my words could stop the deadly bone crushing utility vehicle of sports 0_0)" and I put my shoulder against it... and it stopped. Fairly anti-climactic.

I asked the man if he was okay and, if he could hear me, that I needed him to try and move his leg over. He looked up at me for a second, and then he looked at his legs, and shifted them over.

I... don't think he heard a word I said, but whatever.

Meanwhile, the car that was next to the SUV was completely trashed.

The driver was still inside. It was a young dude, he was twenty something and possibly drunk. The guy smelled like alcohol according to Ray later on.

So Ray was helping out with this car, when it started to catch on fire. We heard popping, and saw tiny flames forming underneath. At this point, more people had pulled up behind us to help. One of the cars that pulled over to help, was this couple...

Off the bat, the guy tries to pick up the old man, and tells us with a voice of authority, "We have to elevate his legs! this guy's going into shock!" lolll sounded like he was quoting a crappy movie. Ray yells back at him: "do NOT move ANYONE!"

Interesting fact about Ray, he has an EMT card and is trained for this type of thing. The guy didn't know what the hell he was talking about. What's elevating the old man's legs really gonna do? :/ While this is happening, the girlfriend is yelling at us all to "back the f*** up, the car's gonna explode!"

... the fire was getting really big, but sadly, cars never explode (wish they did though!). So she starts ducking behind my car asking us all "what're you guys DOING??? run!!!"

I tell her: "There's someone in there... calm down... the car's not gonna explode." I totally should've yelled this at her...

sigh. next time.

Going back to the car that was on fire-- the driver was still inside and would not, for whatever reason, unlock his door. Ray is knocking on his window and pulling the door handle yelling: "FOOL! Your car is catching on fire, I need you to unlock your door!" While this is happening, the flames are growing. When the guy finally decides to let Ray help him out, the flames are above my head. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Hate it admit it, but all I want for Christmas next year--is a car that I can set on fire. 0_0

Anyway, the guy gets out, and his hands are covered with blood. He's convinced that he wasn't driving even though he was the only person in his car. The firetrucks finally arrive and put out the fire. 10 minutes after that, the Ambulances arrive and my car is now boxed in.

There's a firetruck to the right of my car, a highway patrol car behind my car, and of course, the accident is almost directly in front. Wouldn't've mattered though because during the chaos of the car fire, my keys had gotten locked inside my trunk. To explain this, I need to back up a bit to right after Ray instructed people to not move anyone until proper help arrived.

I heard someone say: "We need water!"--- and I got really excited! because I always keep a box of bottled waters in my trunk. So I ran from the SUV situation after we pulled the old man's e-brake, and made sure he was away from any more madness. I got my trunk open, everyone grabbed what they could, and as we turned our heads to put out what we thought was a tiny flame--- we were faced with a fire that was about 7 feet tall. Somehow during all of this, my keys fell out of my pocket, and got locked in the trunk.

My car's manual trunk opener... doesn't work...

yeahhh...

Eventually a firefighter who also owns a Camry told me "Dude, you can totally...here-- (pulls backseats forward to reveal a secret passage into my trunk)" The second he pulled those seats forward, I was GONE. I dove in there, found the glow in the dark door handle inside (KELLIE!!! I never thought I'd actually have to use it!), spotted my keys and we were outta there!!!---after they cleared a path for us. haha

My friend Peter was driving ahead of us at the time, and apparently he had to swerve out of the way as it was happening. We got a call from him a few seconds after we had pulled over to help: "ey... watch out-- there's an accident on the 101"

So that's that. Don't know how to transition into a smooth close to this blog post.

I got a B in my Calculus class. :D

Totally still have a crush on my old Calc Professor.

lol. Good Night Blogspot.

Hrppy Borthdarr toooo ROBOT!!!

So it was my birthday yesterday.

*confetti*

And I had a near perfect day. I hung out with my friends Davis, Eddy, and Ray. We went to a PC cafe and played Left 4 Dead 2, which was amazing! If you haven't played it, it's definitely a game everyone should play at least once with friends.

Read some comics, drew some pictures, ate sushi with the family... and had cake! :)

And now I'm watching some wonderful Japanese entertainment.

If you haven't seen this yet... enjoy. If you've seen it before... enjoy it again!

Miss my Calc Professor.

But don't fret! I'll find a new one.

Christmas wishLIST 2009~ for fun!

I'm about to post stuff that I don't expect ANYONE to get me.

For one-- it's stuff I would never really need. And it's frackin' expensive crap.

Would I buy this stuff on my own? Yes.
Without or with very little hesitation
(only because I'm usually saving up to buy this stuff)

If you've been to my room, you've probably seen the 300 dollar Hellboy statue I got from Comic-Con 08.

At the moment, it's temporarily boxed... until I get a proper shelf for it--- and these awesome items in my wish list!
  • Number 7: A new Hellboy Statue: This one seems more "Hellboy" than the one I bought in 2008. I love the pose on this too... However, with a cooler pose comes a bigger price tag. This sucker's over 700 bucks, and that makes me do this face: 0_0
  • Number 6! A frakking toaster. I saw this 2 years ago when I wasn't a fan of Battlestar Galactica, and even then I thought it was cool. A year after that, I caught up and became a fan and here I am now, wanting this toaster. Two years ago, it was 65 bucks, but now it's 90 bucks, comes in titanium... and has built in LED lights for the cylon on the front. Super useless for me, because I wouldn't use it for what it was made for.
  • 5: Kiani Statue. Yes, there's one more statue on my list. This one is about 400 bucks give or take. Kiani has a really cool one shot that you can buy right now in any decent comic book store if you don't know where she's from. She also has a neat little book by JT Krul, that I read for the first time this year. Anyway, I'm getting off topic--It's just an amazing statue! More frowns of sadness though because Michael Turner is dead. :(
  • 4: Monty Python's Flying Circus! Why don't I already have this? It was just expensive-- and I already can see every episode on my Netflix Instant View. Soooo it's not exactly a must have. However, right now at this very moment, it's 39.99 on amazon.com <3>
  • 3: James Jean art print-- or original sketch! An art print from his site? 85 bucks. an original sketch? Near the thousands. Chances of me getting either are slim. I bought his beautiful Fables Covers book when it first came out, and I love it. Includes all of his Fables covers (minus a few of his later ones) and includes prelim sketches and notes on each. His artwork is candy for my eyes.
  • 2: Ray called this pick stupid... but I don't care, I still want it. Calvin Klein's usb-glasses.I know there're a lot of usb-THINGS, but this one actually seems cool. Kinda scared of how the flash-drive looks when it's unplugged from the arm of the glasses. I'd only get these if I tried them on in person and discovered that they were sturdier than their pictures lead me to believe. $199
  • NUMBER 1: This one, I actually want people to get.Charity Water. There're a lot of causes out there. I still follow up on "LiNK" (Liberty in North Korea), and of course, there's always Compassion International, but charity water is something new, and a little shocking. If you go to charitywater.org you can make a donation to "bring clean water to people around the world" Sorta self explanatory. Besides Diet Coke, water is totally my favorite drink. I love water so much... that... I feel like I can't live without it. 0_0 You know?
All joking aside, it's not super hard. You give them your money, and they do the work for you. I know we'd all love to leave our comfortable lives here, and go into the hells of Africa to bring clean water to the masses, but let's be real here. You know that idea makes you sigh an overwhelmed sigh.

Thank God for these people. It's sad to think that water of all things-- excuse me, CLEAN water, is a rare commodity in large parts of our planet, where people live. So this year, I plan on giving flimsy little rubber bracelets that say charity: water on them, because it's awesome. Hope I get some for myself too.

  • Honorable mention: A date with my Calculus Professor.
Good Night Blogspot!

Outside my window...

... It's raining!!!! (charlie brown smiley face)

=]

So I fell asleep while studying, but woke up shortly thereafter, to the sound of rain outside of my window. I love the rain, don't you?

Now if only I could love CALCULUS.

If a raindrop is falling into a curved apparatus at a velocity of 20 feet per second, and the equation for it's velocity is blah blah blah---I. HATE. YOU. CALCULUS. SO. MUCH! AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x_x

anyway--- I still have a crush on my Calculus Professor.

Thanks for the rain, God. It cheered me up.

Goodnight Blogspot! wish me luck! I wish YOU luck on your finals. 0_0 You'll need it.

mcRIB

So I was talking with my friend Jennifer Park (who apparently reads my blog.) 0_0
and I she's so good at remembering my birthday... because "It's RIb!" (RIb=1216)

And that got me in the mood for a mcRib...
...which I did not have.

Instead, I went home and ate rice with Korea.

I've only had a mcRib twice since it's come back. My friend David's google status has been updating how many he's had it and the last I checked he was at: "7 mcribs in 7 days!"

(opens new tab--> checks gmail...)

NOOOOOOOooo!!! His new update: "Mcrib streak dies". 7 is a good number to stop at I guess. I stopped at 2.

The McDouble is also back to a dollar. So I've been having the occasional ghetto big mac.

If you haven't tried a ghetto big mac, it's a Mcdouble with lettuce and a sesame seed bun with special sauce instead of mustard and ketchup. it's like you're getting a big mac for half price! 0_0. middle bun not included.

So what did the Robot say to the Big Mac?

This video is just retarded-my head hurts-Good-bye.

10 pages on Ernest Hemingway...

... due tomorrow for my English class.

I think I totally bombed my Calc exam T_T... sigh
It was my last chance to get an A on an exam. -- I still have a crush on my Calculus Professor.

So I've been drawing a lot lately. And I think I'm improving! (just a little)

One day I will have my own style of drawing-- maybe.

Until then, I can copy Michael Turner sketches, because it's fun.

I posted this one of my friend Janet, on facebook already:

I wish I could draw people more realistically, but--- bleh. I'm super tempted to draw a beard on her (She totally has one in real life. 0_0) And this is on my deviantart/facebook, but just in case you don't check those:

I redid my "Take THAT Joker", but it needs color:

I will buy crayons when finals are over.

Soooo I'm at 6 pages on my essay... Six crappy pages. Ernest Hemingway is a very interesting man... but I am not entertained by my own writing. Something must change! I still have time... 0_0

be back later Blogspot. Wish me Luck!

Top 5 Crushes

I like lists on Tuesdays

Today... MY TOP 5 CRUSHES. Unfortunately, there are no Calculus Professors here...

... only sexy Calculus Professors!! (haha! did I get ya??)

  • Number 5: My Calculus Professor ... makes me do this face: I want to do well in her class to impress her... but at the same time, I want to fail so I can take her class over again. What a pickle. You're one of a kind--Calculus Professor! I totally still have a crush on you.
  • Number 4: Katee Sackhoff. Just look into her eyes! on a hotness scale of Jalapeno to Habanero, she's a Chinese Ghost Chili 0_0. In all fairness to my other picks, it's mainly Battlestar Galactica that makes her so john-stamos. So maybe it's Kara Thrace that's my number 4 pick... NOOO, no-- it's Katee Sackhoff. Battlestar Galactica or no, this be a pretty lady. T_T
  • Number 3: Becky Cloonan! The 4th picture of her on Google image search is from my blog T_T. Google her and see! I didn't post the sketches she did for me from my first trip to the Con... or this year's sketch (both AMAZING), but I probably should. And maybe I'll twitter her the sketches after gaining the courage! Anyway--so when I first started reading comics in 2005, I picked up this neat little comic book called American Virgin. I remember opening it up to the first page of the first issue and seeing her drawing style for the first time. It made me do this face: 0_0. And when I finally got to meet her in 2008, she was getting over a cold of some kind and she drew me Hellboy! :) It was one of those things where an artist is really hard on themselves, but the fan is totally glued to what they're doing. After she finished, she apologized to me, and told me: "I swear-- I can draw!" (which made me smile) and asked me to come back next year and ask for an Abe Sapien. So... I did! With plenty of reference pictures this time on my PSP. And it is by far the coolest sketch I received this year. Apologies to Joshua Middleton (who did the covers for American Virgin!). And of course, apologies to my Calc Professor--I totally have a bigger crush on Becky Cloonan-- you've got nothing on her.
  • Number 2: Olivia Munn!
Never seen Twilight, but this video made me laugh. This is a bit of a new crush I have. I started following Attack of the Show's podcasts after this year's Comic Con. I have Liz and Dave to thank for that. They showed me the awesome-- that is Attack of the Show. Not much more to say about Olivia Munn except that I like it when she does impressions of her mother, and that one time that I saw her at the Watchmen Premiere, she was super nice to Dave, and I liked that a lot. Jessica Alba had nothing on her. 0_0 yeah, I went there.

  • Finally, my Number 1 Crush! .... I've got nothing--WAIT! Supergirl! Her father was killed by Reactron, her name is currently being dragged through the mud by some bitch reporter, and eventually, she needs to get involved with the Blackest Night superhero undead thing that's happening in the world of DC (I'm hoping/guessing). Her life pretty much sucks, but damn is it entertaining to read! Also helps that Joshua Middleton is doing the covers. The last time I had bought an issue of Supergirl was when Michael Turner-- sigh... Michael Turner did the covers for Supergirl... :( KELLIE!!!!!
SO it's finals time, and I will be blogging less and less, but don't miss me too much, I'll try to distract myself and blog about something every now and again.

As you can see, I am a man of many crushes, but as of this very moment, it is on my Calculus Professor, because I have some homework to do.

Good Night Blogspot.

Tuesday DANCE PARTYYY ~ LIST

today's post co-credited to Janet whose blog you can see here: give me glamour, or something something...
So I've been throwing these dance parties...

and I thought I'd blog about my guest list...

  • Number 5 on my list:

Philip. Seymour. Hoffman... because who doesn't want to be his friend? He seems like such a nice guy, and if I were to make a movie about myself, he'd be the first person I'd ask to play ME.We're like the same person!!!
  • Number 4: Nicolas Cage. To all the haters... the man can dance. Let's not forget that this is a dance party list. 0_0 Also, he's in one of my favorite movies of all time: Kick-Ass. Which hasn't come out yet, but I know it's gonna be DAMN good. So SHUT YER-FACE! >:(
  • Number 3: Supergirl. She not only has one of the best comic books right now, she's a great teammate for beer pong and she's perfect for when you have to throw Jessica Alba out for being an angry fight starting drunk who poops in the party. Let's not forget that the beer never gets cold and the snacks always stay warm, with SUPERGIRL! 0_0
  • Number 2: The Cops! Because the best way to prevent your party being pooped by the fuzz? Inviting all the cops you know! This is me with my friend Sam, who recently became a proud member of the LAPD! He gives great massages. forrr sho.
  • Number 1!!!Will Smith--is not officially on my guest list because he still hasn't accepted my invitation :( Every year for the past 3 years I've watched a Will Smith movie on my birthday. Pursuit of Happiness 2006, I am Legend 2007, Seven Pounds 2008, and... nothing on his imdb for 2009, so I guess I'm renting Hitch this year! Because as I tell all of my friends--Everything Will Smith touches... turns to GOLD-- metaphorically speaking... and sometimes LITERALLY speaking 0_0. Just to add to my Will Smith love story, I also used to draw a comic book in middle school about a radioactive-string-cheese-superhero-from-Will-Smith's-lunchbox named "Mr. Cheesy Pants"... and looking back on that makes me do this face: (-_-)¿
TO CONCLUDE: ---I still have a crush on my calc prof.

that is all.

Thursday Comic Book Catch-Up 2009 edition

I've been behind on my comic book reading...

So I have this huge stack that I'm going through... and it's awesome. Let's do bulletpoints!

  • Ms. Marvel #46: The conclusion to the War of the Marvels story arc! This has been the longest superhero catfight ever... I'm kinda sad that it's over. Issue 47 preview: Ms Marvel on a date with Spiderman-- LAME!
  • Gotham City Sirens #5: what ... the eff. Crazy hobo looking clown/Joker imposter? loll good stuff Paul Dini.
  • Batman and Robin #4 It's up to issue 6 now... and I'm just waiting to see this guy: Flamingo... loll, what is going on with this series...? With Batman dead, you'd think there'd be more mainstream villains running wild, but I'm not complaining. Professor Pyg-- freaky. Red Hood---meh... but interesting. and Flamingo! Grant Morrison seems to have a fetish for villains who tear people's faces off. 0_0
and now... I'm off to sleep. I'll catch up sooner or later, but not tonight.

--still have a crush on my calc prof.

Tuesday LIST of HORROR! 0_0

So recently, I felt like watching The Ring (the 2002 American remake). I have no idea why I wanted to watch it again--It scared the crap out of me again. But it was fun, and I realized that I like it as a movie. It proved that the horror genre has replay value for me-- and it got me in the mood for a list! My top 5 horror movies! You won't find any Paranormal Activity or Blair Witches in this list!--Because those movies are garbage to me!
  • 5: GOJIRA. The number 1 fear of every Japanese person! Many filmmakers have tried to create an equal to Godzilla. Korea tried with the HOST, and the US had the Cloverfield sea herpes monster, but Godzilla's still king of all the monsters in my book. As far as replay value... I don't know about that. It's great to play in the background during a party though.
  • 4: 28 Weeks Later. Not as good as the first one says the pretentious movie critic. And I'll agree; Danny Boyle made a damn good film (running-zombies-first! ahhh!). Where 28 Weeks Later lacks in cinematic masterpiece-ery, it makes up for, and it surpasses the first movie, in its ability to entertain. I had so much fun watching this with friends. The opening act was intense, there were explosions!, and it had Michael from LOST!
  • 3: The Host. The bad amazon.com reviews complain about how this movie is confused about what it is... is it a comedy? a monster flick? a family drama? .... Why're these reasons for a bad review? Why can't a monster movie also make you laugh, cry, and bite your nails? And--this movie totally knows what it is, mother fools! Any fan of Korean Cinema will tell you, that the Koreans love the multi-genre flick. This movie isn't scary in any real way, but come on amazon.com reviewers! Get off of your movie snob thrones and watch this for what it is: A damn good alternative to the 2 dimensional "run from the monster!" movie. Apologies to my number 5 pick ;)
  • 2: The Ring. Saw this movie when it came out in 2002. Don't remember who I watched it with, but I do remember the above scene scaring the crap out of me. I still think it's the best remake of an Asian classic. I'll even go as far as saying that it's the only good remake of an Asian film. I remember when people told me that the Japanese version was "sooo much scarier". I found that I strongly disagreed with this. The special effects in the American remake effectively make this movie awesome. Naomi Watts also has the best scream (rawr). Still gives me the chills.
  • Number 1: Drag Me To Hell, directed by Sam Raimi. A movie where scary things happen to a genuinely good persom. I screamed, I laughed... a lot, I cried-- from laughing, a lot. I know some people who hated this movie and thought it was stupid, but they're the same people who hate Bruce Campbell movies. And a world where Bruce Campbell movies are hated, is a world I don't want to be in. The use of vomit in the movie is... excessive, but it's not meant to be taken seriously. Again, I laughed-- a lot. I totally had a crush on Alison Lohman during this movie too, and that always helps. (sorry, calculus professor, I didn't know you back then). This is a newer film, so I don't quite know how well it'll age... but meh.
It's funny that I make this list weeks after Halloween...

.... ehhh it's not that funny.

I still have a crush on my calc teacher. The swine flu made her lose a lot of weight :(
It's sucking the life out of her!

that is all.

Spanish Examen T_T

I have a spanish exam tomorrow. I have too much to study... not looking forward to tomorrow. Probably won't get my calc exam back, but there's that inevitable failure I'm gonna have to deal with as well. Bulletpoints!
  • My friend Eddy came back from Arizona for the weekend! Good times.
  • Listening to the new KiD CuDi album and liking it a lot. Thanks Eddy. Probably gonna be my new soundtrack for the week! Venture Bros soundtrack was getting to be too intense for my drives.
  • Learned that my friend Ray knows an uncomfortable amount of things about getting a sex change. loll. RODS. 0_0
  • Bought some things for church last month and got my reimbursement checks today, but they were made out to "Robert On" instead of Robert Ahn.
THAT IS ALL FOR NOW.

I still have a crush on my calculus teacher.

Battlestar Galactica: The Porn-- Plan! I mean The Plan

So, two nights ago, I went over to Bonnie's and watched BSG: THE PLAN with Bonnie, Rey, and Patrick. Patrick fell asleep during part of it, and there was a lot of unnecessary sexiness. No complaints though. It was a fun movie to watch and pick at.

"Let's dance! 0_0"

Missed you KELLIE! We were like the final five cylons without a fifth.

In other news--- Bulletpoints!
  • I can't stop eating these Cheez-Its. I like wrapping string cheese around them! (Learned this from my friend Tatiana in my Spanish class. And she learned this from her former meth addict friend. lol) It's brilliant!
  • I just got back from Church Everyday. My awesome church with an awesome name. Church Everyday! (we're closed on Mondays.)
  • Simpsons Marathon update: I am now on Episode 15 from Season 6 - Homie The Clown
Well, it's late and I'm sleepy. Good Night Blogspot.
